"GET BEHIND ME!" Lucas shouted at the Nemo squad, raising his elbows and engaging both beam shields to create some cover, while spraying head vulcan rounds at the walls and floor to kick up dust and debris and foul enemy vision and targetting, if only briefly. Nemos leaned around the beam shields attempting to return fire, but unfortunately Lucas' vulcans had obscurred their vision as well. "Don't waste your ammo, just fall back the way we came in-Argh!" Lucas yelled, a stray beam hitting the weak point of his right arm's shield emitter, flailing the arm back and sending a shock of pain that nearly stumbled the man. The sudden dissapearance of half their cover made two Nemo's easy targets, each taking a beam to the chest and collapsing. Their allies quickly grabbed them and dragged them toward the door, trying desperately to keep Klein's left shield between them and everyone else. Cursing angrily, Lucas fought against the pain of a potentially dislocated elbow and raised his beam rifle, the HEXA's advanced sensor unit picking actual targets out of the debris, but his own intentions overriding the urge to strike back at those firing at him. With careful aim adjustment, he began firing at anything in the room that could further reduce visibility, knowing many of the officers with him simply did not have the armor to stand and fight against so many targets at once. He didn't have the prescence of mind to hope that making everyone unable to see might also cause them to stop firing. With each shot he took a step back, and soon found himself at the door they'd entered through. "Krauser!" He shouted, "Unless you think we can arrest them all, we should probably regroup!" |

Captain Altecha Chan, 8th Special Operations Company RGM-89 Jegan USMP Dust clouds, the sounds of gunfire, and power armor advancing in different directions are all he can see. The visor camera of Captain Altecha Chan’s RGM-89 Jegan zooms in and out as he surveys the situation. He and his Jegan squad had approached the Tesla Industries compound from a different direction from the rest of the USMP force. Already, he can tell that the main USMP force had made its way inside. Unfortunately, Chan is also certain that other factions are entering the compound. Chan’s Jegan ducks back behind cover. He looks over at another Jegan who has an enormous sniper rifle raised. “Got anything on your scope, Churchill?” The British Royal Marine’s voice came back as a grumbling whisper,” Buzzin’ like a blasted hornet’s nest. Can’t tell which blokes are ours or not. Gettin’ flashes of light. Beam weapons it seems like.” “Look,” spoke up Antoinette DeJou’s heavy French accent,” our soldats are still blocking the Law Enforcement infanterie outside.” Her Jegan shifts the enormous chaingun that it is holding. “Hold your fire, Dejou,” reminded Chan. The captian’s Jegan turns to the last member of his team. “Anything new from control?” The rumbling voice of Sergeant McDune replied. “Not much, sir. Whoever is coordinating this only knows that a recon element is probing the area.” “Do you know what outfit is in there?” A pause. “Says to be the ‘Dark Falcons’ squad using the Slaughter Dagger model. CO is named Clint Reisz. Never heard of him.” “Patch me through to him. We might be able to support him from here. You think we can use our grenades as breaching charges?” “Nothing like well-placed explosives would do, sir.” “Make it happen sergeant.” |

As the Quin Mantha advanced, its deflection system hard at work sending the stray beam weapons back, the other sides tried to attempt to fall back to the paths they had come from. As the Barcalow Knights lay down their covering fire, the Rasvehts went back down the hall first, their rifles at the ready. Standing shoulder to shoulder, all six fired their beam rifles down the hall repeatedly, and in mere moments Blitz was forced to decloak and protect itself with its shield. "Damnit!" Simon yells out as the second lancer was fired out, piercing Elec' head as the unit collapsed, deactivating itself. Enraged Ann launched herself forward as Simon fired out the anchor at her. Sidestepping quickly, the Rasvehts all grabbed the wire of the anchor and pulled hard, throwing the Blitz off and with 5 power armors pulling, sending the stealth specialist flying back into the room. With the way clear, the generic Gundams of the Knights fell back first, as the Calamity stayed behind laying down cover fire with the Reborns Gundam. The Reborns Gundam was primarily focused with his GN Fangs combating the Quin Mantha's funnels. While they were numerically superior, the more experienced Knight was faring much better as Apollo focused on picking off each funnel faster, losing only one so far in the process from interference against the Bertigo's own Bits. Both Law Enforcement and USMP were acting as well, letting the injured go first back the path. As the officers and the Dark Falcons prepared for their own evacuation, red lights flashed throughout the interior of the room, as blast doors came down, cutting off the retreating teams and splitting them in half. Down the hall, Captain Altecha Chan's team scrambled down to reach them, unable to reach the Dark Falcons with the radio interference. Unable to proceed further, as the injured soldiers fell back past them, they checked their charges to figure out what to do quickly. Inside the large room, everyone stopped firing at one another and recalled their weapons. Wild moved quickly to the door behind him and used his beam zanber, creating only a small cut in the thick steel. "Well great, what's going on now?!" Wild yells out, as everyone's attention was drawn to the middle of the room. From the center, several containers arose from the floor. As they rose up, they each were large enough to fit a human inside, and all of them were written with something different. In front of Wild and Kristal, a set of 3 containers faced them, marked X-1, X-2 and X-3. Opening up, the pair stared wide-eyed at the sight, as Kristal looked back and forth, trying to comprehend what she was seeing. "What the hell?! That's your armor over there!" Kristal looks on, shocked and taking a step back from the sight. Facing Law Enforcement, two containers opened up, marked Victory and Bertigo. "Seems we meet again, officer," the Bertigo's pilot states, stepping forward. USMP was treated with a similar sight, as the green sniper Gundam known as Dynames appeared, along with a second Blitz Gundam. "You have got to be kidding..." Simon utters, recovering from the throw as he stood up near the USMP force that was left, with only a GM Squad with the Dark Falcons. The Barcalow Knights were treated to a final sight, as Epyon stepped out from the container, and without wasting any time dashed forward right at the Calamity, stabbing him straight in the face with the beam sword, killing the mercenary inside. "Epyon tells me....no artillery allowed," a male voice states before backing off. "Attention Power Armors...you have seen too much of the secrets in Tesla Industries. It is with that you must die to keep our trade secrets safe. Goodbye," a female voice said, before cutting off everything, as all eight new arrivals' eyes flashed. Outside, a lone power armor entered the facility from the Barcalow Knights' staging area, as the Nemesis stepped inside. Summary: Everyone who has already entered the facility is currently trapped inside the room with minimal support against the eight power armors. Altecha Chan has reached their position and is trying to break through to assist. Edited by Wild, Dec 1 2010, 03:12 AM.

The surprise Wild had upon seeing the duplicates was quite a shock, as he recognized both the X-1 and the X-3, but not the X-2. Shaking it off quickly, the beam zanber was quickly ignited. If they were true duplications of his armor, he knew the weapons that would be useless for him. "Kristal, keep your guard up!" Wild yells over to her as he charged in at the three. Even knowing full well what he was getting into, it was life or death, as the Crossbones charged straight for the two units. Moving ahead of the Quin Mantha, Wild was surprised again to see just what the X-2 had, as it revealed a large lance in its hand. The other two pulled out similar weapons compared to what Wild had. The first to engage was the X-1, as beam zanbers clashed intensely. It was immediately followed up by the X-3, who swung downwards with the Muramasa Blaster. Blocking with the beam shield, Wild backed off immediately as the two lighter-colored armors stared him down, readying for another attack. |

Wild's courageous charge stirs her back to her senses, the notion that she's trapped set aside for now, seeing her new comrade in arms in danger. Kristal's remaining funnels skirt the X-2 wide and rotate, barraging it from behind, missed shots striking the Quin Mantha's I-Field and returning for a second volley, harrying the suit if nothing else. Drawing both beam swords, she closes the distance with the X-2, the hail of fire trailing along after her, making mobility difficult for their attackers. Firing a blast from the Mantha's head mounted triple beam cannon gets her kneed in the sternum, the shot sweeping along the wall and up to the ceiling. The hail of blows from the X-1's Muramasa Blaster that followed the strike backing her away from Wild, all she can do to survive is continue to retreat, using both swords to parry while taking shots with her chest and forehead cannons. Meanwhile, the X-2, Shot Lancer in hand, turns and hoses the hallway behind it with the heavy machine gun attachment, aiming to eliminate the remaining 17 funnels, keeping itself shrouded behind it's anti-beam cloak as much as possible. Kristal lets out a pained, shocked cry as the X-1 lurches forward and drives it's beam shield in a grazing strike along her thigh, stripping and burning away at the armor there, leaving a deep partial X scoring mark, and then takes off the bottom half of one of her shoulder fins. |

“Oh, ‘fer the love of-“ Simon launched into a long diatribe under his breath, stringing together several colorful curse words that would have made a drunken sailor sober. Things had gone from good, good, bad, decent and finally to “utterly prison style, no reach-around screwed”. His plan had seemed to work at first, the chaos of his shot setting off each person there against the other. Sadly, the Knights had kept some composure and showed some strategy on dealing with an invisible opponent in a closed space, forcing him to turn off his best defense. Being thrown back, and into a room with people who wanted to kill him…and now there were considerably more. As much as he hated to admit it, if he was going to survive this he was going to have to work with Law Enforcement. Against a person who was with the same technology as him. This did not bode well. “I’ll take my evil doppelganger. Well, evil-er. More evil.” Simon called back to the squad of GM’s as he raised his grappling anchor firing it at the duplicate Blitz. The power armor dodged, turning invisible. “Stealing my style?” Simon shook his head, firing up the beam saber. “At least I’m an honest thief as opposed to you corporate crooks.” Simon considered going invisible one final time and making a break for it, but shook his head. While being invisible was extremely helpful, that didn’t mean that he could walk through walls. He still was tangible as anyone else while Mirage Colloid was active. That’s it! I know better than anyone the weaknesses of the Blitz Simon caught a beam, seemingly from nowhere, out of the corner of his eye. He span, catching the beam on his shield, trust the Phase Shift to hold while he fired his last lancer dart at the source. They would be completely useless against Phase Shift armored foes, but while using Mirage Colloid purely ballistic attacks were even more effective as usual. |

"Son of a bitch..." Clint muttered, looking at the wall that stood in his team's way. "Artillery, punch us a hole!" The two Launcher-equipped Daggers stepped forward with cannons raised. With precision timing and aim, their blasts hit the wall dead center, pushing into it with terrifying force. They poured it on, sustaining the blasts until the cannon barrels began to overheat. At Clint's signal, they ceased fire to find barely any change. Clint looked closer, trying to find any sort of weakness he could exploit to get him and the support squad out. "Sir, we've got a hostile incoming!" the GM squad leader announced. Clint turned to look at the Gundam threatening the USMP withdrawal; a green-and-white Gundam with a sniper rifle his database called Dynames. He raised his rifle, firing twice, and watched as the target spun out of the way. "It's a long-range model, troops!" Clint announced. "Leola, you and I will engage in close combat! The rest of you, if we aren't near it, shoot it!" Two of the Slaughter Daggers drew their massive swords as the other six armors moved back to give them room to fight. |

Captain Altecha Chan, 8th Special Operations Company RGM-89 Jegan USMP Infantry soldiers of the USMP got out of the way as the four green Jegan Power Armors reach the intersection just in time to see the thick blast doors lock shut. “Sergeant!” bellowed Captain Altecha Chan. “Check the access panel! See if you can get this thing open!” “Sir!” acknowledged McDune’s growling voice as he stepped over to the blast doors. “DeJou! Churchill!” called Chan to the rest of his squad,” get in position! I want some fire discipline when we get these doors open!” “Quand il pleut il pleut a verse!” shouts DeJou with enthusiasm as she hefts her heavy chaingun in the direction of the blast doors. “Of course it pours when it rains yer damn cheeseeating frog!” jeers Churchill as he slams a magazine full of armor piercing rounds into his sniper rifle. The green visor of Chan’s Jegan looked back and forth among the infantry around him. “Who’s in charge here!” he yelled over the chaos. Suddenly his scanner locked onto the rank badge of a lieutenant. The Captain’s green Jegan Armor stomped over to a junior officer in the corner. He is huddled around a radio with some enlisted men. “Lieutenant! What’s the situation here?” He can see the lieutenant’s eyes squint under the light from the rotating red sirens. “Sir! We’ve made contact with multiple enemy units inside!” “What’d they got?” “Mostly power armors with some light infantry support sir! We are in the process for pulling back when the rest of the team got cut off! We tried to raise them, but we’re not getting anything on this net sir!” “…Jamming…” mutters Altecha Chan under his breath. At this point, McDune stepped away from the access panel. “This door is sealed up tighter than my granddaddy’s brandy cabinet. This ain’t no automated quarantine routine either. Somebody’s don’t want us to leave this place mighty intense.” “Sarge, you ready to play demolitions engineer?” “I do like my Fourth of Ju-ly’s.” “Gather explosives and charges. Collect some from the infantry if you have to! I want that door open as soon as we get these men out of here! Lieutenant, take your wounded and fall back to the rally point! The rest of you, take up covering positions!” Chan’s Jegan made its way back towards the intersection by the blast doors. Foot soldiers carrying the wounded file back towards the rear. The few infantry that remained behind primed their weapons as they took cover behind the Jegans. McDune’s Jegan rejoined the group. He holds up a detonator. “Ready to go when you are.” Chan’s Jegan turned towards his heavy gunner and sniper. “DeJou! Churchill! Covering fire once we breach!” “This is all we are ever good for!” complained Churchill as his Jegan shoulders the rifle. “Sergeant McDune, blow the doors!” |

As their lanced comrade slumped to the floor, electric adrenaline pulsed through their synchronized network. It was the contribution that every fallen teammate gave to Guts; the rush of sudden expiration without the finality of a proper conclusion. Strength surged and in an instant the battle was over. The hidden rogue was dragged down and back into the room. The only question now was who would land the final blow. Ice and Fire? The two were acting on Gut’s instinctive fear of the other combatants into the room. In tandem the two were protecting the rest of the group with their rifles and sabers. Bomber? The newest of the armors had so far chosen not to act but Guts could feel it. The pandemonium had him salivating. He wanted the pending execution. He wanted this to escalate further. Letting him land the blow would Cutter? The first of the armors already had his blade prepared. A nervous energy was causing him to already drift toward the downed suit. Finishing the rogue off would free them for the other pressing challenges so the sooner the better. But Ann had to do it. She knew that she had to be (and dearly she wanted to be) the one to do this. It was what was expected from one of Baracalow’s Knights, and if she… The doors shut and panic set in. Ann and her four remaining teammates looked around wildly in an attempt to figure out what was going on, but even with five different perspectives, none of them could tell what was waiting for them until the first of the strange armors came forth. It was only after the red one stabbed Calamity that the Rasvehts once again began to act. With their backs to the door, the only way to go was forward. Fire began to shift sideways along the wall while simultaneously Cutter and Ice charged forward with weapons drawn. Ice held his saber out in front him like a lance in an attempt to run the strange foe through while Cutter simply began firing wildly at it without abandon with hope that the decrease in distance would give him a better chance at hitting. Fire, always patient, was preparing to take advantage of the confusion by attacking from the flank with a few well placed shots before Ice got in close to finish things. Ann, in the meanwhile, was going the opposite way that Fire was with her saber and rifle at the ready. She was already getting ready to fire with a few bursts, and in the chaos of her comrades charge, planned to eventually get in close and take the red armor down when its back was turned. As for Bomber, he stood lifelessly by the now shut door; simply observing what was about to happen next… |

The blast doors slammed down nearly chopping a wounded Nemo in half as his ally barely managed to drag him through in time. The other wounded officer was not so lucky, trapped with the man dragging him to witness the battle royale that was about to begin. "Seems we meet again, officer." The copy Bertigo says smugly. Klein held a defensive stance with his left beam shield at the fore, taking a moment to check his damaged right arm. The pain was beginning to fade, which meant that it must not have dislocated after all, but the beam shield emitter was destroyed. The enemy Bertigo slowly paced around toward Krauser's position, and Klein knew that his opponent would be the other Victory. "How's he holdin' up?" Klein asked without looking back. "He's no bleeding anymore... heat from the beam saw to that..." The scared Nemo pilot replied, "But he doesn't look too good..." "Get his gun, and get behind something," Klein said, "don't bother with the Bertigos, too hard to tell them apart, just shoot at the one with the 'V' on it's head." Klein dropped his spent rifle, and pulled a beam saber from his left forearm, igniting it. With a slow but steady advance, he began to walk toward his enemy. "Gundam," He called out to the Victory clone, "Lets do this." |
